‘Welcome Home’ Vietnam Vets

The national “Welcome Home” event begins today, May 11, at 11am at the National Mall in Washington, DC, and runs through May 13. Planned by the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, the event commemorates the 50th anniversary of the last troops leaving Vietnam.

Super Hornets Strike ISIS, First Time in Two Years

Carrier-launched US aircraft conducted an airstrike against Islamic State targets for the first time in more than two years. The coalition strike took out a cave and three shelters used as ISIS hideouts in Iraq’s Wadi al-Shai, a rural area in Kirkuk province.
