Talons Make Huge Waves at VEX U

When the College of Southern Maryland Talons arrived at the VEX U World Robotics Championship in Kentucky on April 24, they were touting critical skills, well-made robots, and high hopes of bringing home the best results ever seen in the six years that the team has earned a spot to compete on the world stage.

The College of Southern Maryland Talons, the CSM Robotics Team, is planning an open house from 6 to 7:30 pm June 19, 2018, on the College’s La Plata Campus.

The College of Southern Maryland Talons Robotics Team has qualified for the fifth consecutive year to compete at the VEX U World Championship. This pinnacle of the university-level robotics competitive season will take place April 25-28, 2018, in Louisville, Ky.

VEX Volunteers Needed for Events

VEX Robotics teams from all over the region will be competing this spring, and VEX volunteers are needed to help the competitions run smoothly. The Patuxent Partnership is helping the teams and sponsors search for volunteers.

VEX Robotics Competition Set at CSM

College of Southern Maryland will host the Robotics Senior Division VEX competition Feb. 4, 2017, with support from The Patuxent Partnership. The Senior Division uses the VEX Robotics Design System for its competition platform.

Jr. VEX IQ Challenge Seeks Volunteers

The Southern Maryland Junior VEX IQ Challenge is set for Jan. 14, 2017, in St. Mary’s County, and The Patuxent Partnership has issued a call for event volunteers. College of Southern Maryland and Great Mills High School are hosting the event at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center in Leonardtown.
