BAMS Radar Begins Testing

The U.S. Navy completed the first flight of the Multi-Function Active Sensor (MFAS) radar system, the primary sensor on the MQ-4C Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Unmanned Aircraft System (BAMS), on Dec. 16 on a Northrop Grumman surrogate Gulfstream aircraft at a California test site.
