Songs and Spirituals from Slavery to Emancipation
The CSM Showcase Recital Series brings Dr. Robert Jefferson to perform his lecture-recital, A Spiritual Journey: Songs and Spirituals from Slavery to Emancipation. 8 pm, Feb. 13, 2015 at the Leonardtown CSM Campus, Building A, Auditorium, 22950 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD.
The concert of historical African-American music is “accompanied by a captivating narrative that was engaging and positioned the listener right into the center of the historical experience,” according to reviews on Dr. Jefferson’s website.
