Next Gen Training: Live Virtual Constructive

Posted for The Patuxent Partnership

The Patuxent Partnership and Patuxent River Squadron #18 of the Association of Naval Aviation will host their 23rd panel, “Next Generation of Training: Live Virtual Constructive (LVC),” on Thursday, March 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum.

The LVC video by NAVAIRSYSCOM calls Live Virtual Constructive a “game changer.” LVC combines a live simulation involving real people operating real systems, a virtual simulation involving real people operating simulated systems, and a constructive simulation with simulated people operating simulated systems. Combining all three simulations enables units to interact with one another and to conduct a coordinated fight as though physically together on the same ground.

“This will be an outstanding opportunity for the local public to hear the Navy’s senior leadership speak about their strategic vision of Fleet training and readiness” said Mark Converse, the commanding officer of the local ANA Squadron.

Panelists include RADM Michael Manazir, Director Air Warfare (OPNAV N98); RADM John Haley, Commander Naval Air Force Atlantic; Mr. John Meyers, SES, Technical Director, NAWCTSD; Director, NAVAIR Human Systems Department; RDML (SEL) Shane Gahagan, Military Director, IWC Enterprise Team; CAPT (SEL) Matthew Commerford, Deputy Program Manager, Mission Systems, PMA 265.

“TPP works to foster technology innovation within our community,” said Bonnie Green, Executive Director, The Patuxent Partnership. “LVC is a critical training advancement for the Navy and DoD.”

This event is open to the public. Advance registration (closing Noon on March 4) is $10.00 and strongly recommended at www.paxpartnership.org, or $15.00 at the door
