Local officials gathered with students and the public Sept. 11 to mark the 10-year anniversary of 2001 Al Qaeda attacks by walking 11 laps around Leonardtown Square. Capt. Stephen Schmeiser, commander of Naval Air Station Patuxent River, gave the keynote speech.
