US Navy is Carrier-Based and Well Capitalized

In excerpts below, VADM David Dunaway presents a synopsis of the Navy’s game plan to cut costs and maintain security.

In all stages of the game plan, NAVAIR grows, the admiral said at the Southern MD Regional Update: Innovation, Diversification, Education and Anchors forum in February. From the Pacific pivot, which requires carriers, to unmanned automated systems, much of the growing security needs of the future rely upon Naval aviation.

In the second video, VADM Dunaway talks about how the Navy will take back implementation tasks from private industry. This will save money and make the best use of government while leaving to industry what it does best.
