Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.

Those who take the 8-hour course to certify as Mental Health First Aiders learn a 5-step action plan encompassing the skills, resources and knowledge to help an individual in crisis connect with appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help care.

Training will be provided by Walden Sierra Inc. Wednesday, March 26, and Thursday, March 27, from 9 am to 1 pm on the second floor of The Gateways building, 21155 Lexwood Dr., Lexington Park, MD 20653. Directional signs indoors will lead you to the meeting room.
