CSM to Host Dual Enrollment Info Events

The College of Southern Maryland will host a Dual Enrollment Parent Information Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23, 2016. The event will be held at Leonardtown High School on MD Rt. 5 in Leonardtown.
High school students and their parents will learn about the opportunities to enroll in college classes on all of the college’s campuses or to receive college credit with the college’s partnerships with local public school systems for its In-School Dual Math, English and Access CSM classes.
High school juniors and seniors are able to earn transferable college credits, receive 50 percent discounted tuition, and get a head start on college.
A Dual Enrollment Parent Information Night also will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Prince Frederick campus in Building B, Room 104 on 115 J.W. Williams Road and from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the La Plata campus in the Center for Business and Industry (BI), Room BI-113, 8730 Mitchell Road.

In other CSM news, the college’s Cause Theatre will present “My First Time” at 8 pm Jan. 29 at CSM’s Leonardtown campus in Building A, Room 206 at 22950 Hollywood Road. Four actors share hysterical and heartbreaking stories written by real people about first sexual experiences. The play is being produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. Tickets will be $5.
Due to subject matter and language, the play is not suitable for patrons younger than 18.
