New Company Gives Small Contractors a BOOST
Stephanie Alexander announced this week the creation of BOOST LLC (Back Office Organizational Support Team), a new venture specializing in accounting, finance, contracts, human resources, and personnel recruiting for small to mid-size government contractors.
Alexander, who has over 10 years of experience at all levels of the government-contracting world, will serve as President of BOOST. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer and VP of Corporate Administration of a small government contractor headquartered in Lexington Park, Maryland. Stephanie has also served as business manager, senior financial analyst, and program manager at various government contractors. She has earned her executive MBA through Virginia Tech. In addition, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has completed Shipley’s business development training.
â€-My passion is to help small and mid-sized federal contractors grow and mature into optimal organizations able to achieve their mission and support complex customer needs in an intelligent, straightforward, compliant fashion,†Alexander said in a prepared statement. â€-I believe BOOST will have the ideal blend of people and expertise to make this happen. Small contractors need someone in their court to help navigate their way as they grow and compete with the large contractors. There are levels of complexities associated with doing business with the government that few start-up companies have been exposed to. In addition, as the government moves more towards lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA) contract awards, small businesses will need to keep their overhead rates low to remain competitive. BOOST will allow contractors to postpone investment in overhead positions.â€
The philosophy behind BOOST is to provide straightforward back-office solutions that will allow clients more time to focus on business development, customer needs, and execution. Alexander is compiling a team of dedicated individuals who are singularly focused on providing clients with the tools needed to simplify and BOOST their businesses.
That includes, but is not limited to, providing clients the manpower, strategy, and industry knowledge to craft solutions that will reenergize their daily operations and save them time and money. The goal of BOOST is to cover all corporate back-office needs, allowing for greater communication, less rework, and increased organizational efficiency.
â€-The focus of a successful CEO depends on business development, customer relations and leadership. BOOST could be the edge your business needs to achieve your goals sooner rather than later,†Alexander said.
